Celebrate George Washington Week

The annual George Washington Week, sponsored by the sophomore honorary Lock & Chain, kicks off on President’s Day, Monday, Feb. 21. Picture this: Living building recognized

Eden Brukman (left), vice president of the International Living Building Institute, presents Chancellor Mark S. Wrighton with an award recognizing WUSTL’s Living Learning Center as a Living Building. The Living Learning Center, located at the Tyson Research Center in west St. Louis County, tied with another building to become the first buildings in the world to meet the institute’s rigorous Living Building Challenge in 2010. Mild childhood asthma can be treated intermittently

Children who have asthma but are experiencing few or no symptoms often stop using daily asthma medications, much to their doctors’ chagrin. However, results of a new study at the School of Medicine suggest taking medication at the onset of symptoms is better than taking nothing at all. FULL STORY
